Tofarati Oba

Associate

Overview

Tofarati (Tof) Oba represents clients with litigation and product risk management needs, largely from the healthcare, energy, and consumer products industries. In her litigation practice, she represents clients in disputes regarding payments and financial agreements. On behalf of consumer products companies, she counsels large corporates in product risk assessment and regulatory compliance including matters with the CPSC involving notices of violation and 15(b) reporting obligations.

Tof has an active pro bono practice focused on custody cases, which builds on her prior experience as a legal intern for a community-based public defense organization and on her non-profit work with children and teens.

During law school, Tof participated in a variety of activities. She was a Moot Court board member, served as senior staff editor for the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy, and she served on the communications team for the Duke Law Innocence Project. Tof was honored as a Dean’s List Recipient for Corporate Crime Law 306.
