Overview

Nicolas Mfizi is an associate at Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office and a member of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Group. His practice covers the full range of EU and Belgian competition law issues, including restrictive practices, merger control, and state aid.

Prior to joining Crowell, Nicolas worked at the EU and Competition practice of a renowned Belgian independent law firm, where he advised national and international companies on complex and vital competition and regulatory matters and represented his clients before the Belgian Competition Authority and the European Commission.

On June 25, 2025, the European Commission adopted a new framework that simplifies EU State aid rules to make it easier for Member States to support the development of clean energy, industrial decarbonization and clean technology.
