Judy He is a Patent & ITC Litigation associate in Crowell and Moring’s Chicago office, where she counsels and litigates IP disputes involving various technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer products, as well as licensing issues. Her background is in Chemistry and Finance, and she is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Judy is a LCLD Pathfinder, and she has leadership roles with Women In Bio, the Public Interest Law Initiative, and the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation. Judy was also recently elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of Managers of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago.

In addition to handling IP and licensing disputes, Judy has an active pro bono practice. For example, Judy is a volunteer for the ABA’s Free Legal Answers program, and she was recognized twice by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service as a Pro Bono Leader for her contributions in 2020 and 2021. Judy also has experience with representing immigrant children seeking special immigrant juvenile status and families seeking asylum in affirmative and defensive processes. In 2021, Judy was a recipient of the National Immigrant Justice Center’s Rising Star Award.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Judy was an extern with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, the largest legal program in the Department of Homeland Security, and she was a PILI Fellow at the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights. Judy also participated in the ABA Section of Litigation’s Judicial Intern Opportunity Program by serving as a judicial intern to the Honorable Linnea E. Thompson in the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit of Illinois, and she continues to volunteer for the program as a working group member and mentor to diverse and underrepresented law students.
