The American Bar Association Names Judy He to 2024 “On the Rise” List

Chicago – June 3, 2024: Judy He, a Chicago-based counsel in Crowell & Moring’s Patents Group, has been named to the American Bar Association’s 2024 “On the Rise” list. The awards honor young ABA members “who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service.”
“We are incredibly proud that the American Bar Association has recognized Judy with this coveted award,” said Andrew J. Avsec, managing partner of Crowell’s Chicago office. “Her outstanding legal skills combined with her tireless dedication to pro bono work and community service are the true embodiment of Crowell’s mission and values.”
Judy represents companies in the pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and agricultural technology industries with patent, trade secrets, and licensing disputes, from pre-suit to post-trial and appeal. In addition to her IP practice, she is a passionate pro bono advocate, and assists immigrant children and families with SIJS and asylum cases. In 2021, Judy received the National Immigrant Justice Center Rising Star Award, and was recognized in 2021 and 2021 by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service as a Pro Bono Leader for her contributions to the ABA's Free Legal Answers project.
Judy holds a number of leadership positions in industry organizations. She serves as a board member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago, and previously served as sponsorship chair and programming chair for the organization. She also serves as vice chair of the U.S. Patent and Litigation Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
