Washington, D.C., February 28, 2017: Crowell & Moring LLP represented NRG Yield, Inc. in negotiating an agreement to acquire interests in an 820 MW portfolio of eight solar generating facilities in Arizona and Utah from NRG Energy, Inc. for $130 million in cash plus assumed non-recourse project debt of $464 million. San Francisco – February 21, 2017: UniPixel, Inc., a company that develops and markets performance engineered films for the touch screen and flexible electronics markets, today announced the closing of its public offering of 10,530,000 units, comprised of common shares and warrants. Each unit consists of one share of UniPixel common stock, par value $0.001 per share, priced at $0.95 per share, and warrants to purchase 0.45 shares of common stock at an exercise price of $1.00 per share, exercisable for a period of five years from the date of the closing of the offering.

London, February 16, 2017: Crowell & Moring represented Verisk Analytics, Inc., a leading data analytics provider, on its acquisition of Healix Risk Rating, a leader in automated medical risk assessment for the travel insurance industry. Healix Risk Rating, a subsidiary of Healix International Holdings Limited, will become part of ISO, a Verisk Analytics business and a pre-eminent source of information about property/casualty insurance risk for more than 45 years. The transaction will further expand Verisk Analytics’ risk assessment offerings for the global insurance industry.

San Francisco – December 16, 2016: On December 14, 2016, the Supreme Court of California denied an appeal filed by Medivation, Inc. against a Crowell & Moring client, The Regents of the University of California (The Regents), in a longstanding licensing dispute over a promising cancer drug, upholding the First Appellate District for the California Court of Appeal decision from September 2016 in favor of The Regents. The decision upheld the trial result in which the firm had secured $32 million in additional licensing income for The Regents, obtained summary judgment on claims made against The Regents, and secured a jury verdict in favor of one of the UCLA inventors.
