Washington, D.C. – November 28, 2016: Crowell & Moring has been recognized as one of Washington's top philanthropic companies in 2016 at the Washington Business Journal’s annual Corporate Philanthropy Awards. The firm ranked ninth among 25 area law firms for pro bono hours, with 28,710 hours contributed in 2015 by the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Recipients of the Corporate Philanthropy Awards were honored at an annual awards event on November 17 in Washington. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Crowell & Moring has been honored by the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) for its pro bono efforts.
WBJ's Corporate Philanthropy Awards honor the region's most active and inspirational companies and nonprofits that have made a difference in their communities through both financial and volunteer philanthropic work, through charitable giving, volunteer hours, or pro bono.
In addition to being honored in the law firm pro bono hours category at the event last year, Crowell & Moring was recognized by WBJ in two other categories: midsize companies - giving and midsize companies - volunteer hours.
