Orange County – February 4, 2021: Lawyers of Color named Crowell & Moring’s David Griffith to the “Hot List 2020,” an annual list of “the most dynamic junior- and mid-level lawyers of color who have demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession.”

Griffith is an associate in the firm’s Antitrust & Competition and White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement groups, based in Orange County. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. While in law school, Griffith served as co-editor in chief of the National Black Law Journal and also researched sentencing guidelines under Professor Sherod Thaxton. A staunch advocate of diversity in the legal profession, Griffith mentored undergraduate students interested in law school and also worked with Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, helping to improve diversity amongst their panelists.

The “Hot List” is selected by a committee composed of editorial staff, fellows, and advisers. Editorial picks were made based on attorneys’ noteworthy accomplishments, giving special attention to candidates who were active in diversity pipeline initiatives.

Lawyers of Color is a nonprofit devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities. To see the full “Hot List 2020” publication, visit here.
