Washington – June 5, 2025: Crowell & Moring earned 80 rankings for 71 lawyers, as well as 43 national and statewide practice area rankings, in the Chambers USA 2025 guide. The rankings are driven by independent interviews of clients and lawyers at peer firms.

Doha – June 4, 2025: Crowell & Moring advised Quantinuum, the world’s largest integrated quantum computing company formed by the merger of Cambridge Quantum and Honeywell Quantum Solutions, on its $1 billion joint venture with Al Rabban Capital, a prominent Qatari investment group.

Intellectual Asset Management recognized Crowell & Moring in its IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners guide, awarding the firm a gold band ranking as one of the top three firms handling patent litigation and transactions in Belgium, and a silver ranking for the firm’s Chicago office. The firm was also recommended nationally in the United States for trade secrets litigation. This marks the twelfth consecutive year that the firm has been ranked in the guide in Belgium.

San Francisco – May 30, 2025: The Daily Journal has named Crowell & Moring’s Kristin Madigan as a Top Woman Lawyer in California in 2025. The annual list celebrates “excellence, impact, and leadership across the legal profession” and recognizes the top 100 women lawyers practicing in California. New York – May 30, 2025: James Carolan has joined Crowell & Moring’s Corporate Group as senior counsel, bringing over 35 years of experience advising major corporations, investors, funds, universities, and tax-exempt organizations on their real estate needs.

San Francisco – May 29, 2025: Stacey Geis, former deputy assistant administrator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, has joined Crowell & Moring’s Environment, Energy and Natural Resources and White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement groups as senior counsel in its San Francisco office. Geis brings over 25 years of experience, at the federal and state levels, in environmental law and policy, litigation, and criminal and civil enforcement. 

Orange County – May 27, 2025: Crowell & Moring partner and Executive Committee chair Chahira Solh has been named to Global Competition Review’s 2025 Women in Antitrust list. The survey recognizes 89 individuals with outstanding career successes who have influenced new and existing colleagues and contemporaries.

Washington – May 21, 2025: Crowell & Moring has launched “Crisis Handbook: A Desktop Investigations Guide,” an updated, in-depth resource designed to help companies respond effectively and strategically in the face of a corporate crisis.

Washington – May 15, 2025: The Council for Court Excellence recognized Susan Hoffman, Crowell & Moring senior public service counsel, with the Justice Potter Stewart Award in recognition of her legal career dedicated to pro bono efforts.

Elizabeth Hecker, former acting deputy chief and special litigation counsel in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division’s Appellate Section, has joined Crowell & Moring as senior counsel in the Litigation Group. Hecker brings more than two decades of experience leading litigation in the federal court of appeals, with a focus on cases involving education and matters related to Title IV, Title VI, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.

Los Angeles – May 5, 2025: Crowell & Moring partners Agustin D. Orozco and Jennie Wang VonCannon have been named to the LA Times Studios’ 2025 list of Legal Visionaries. The list spotlights the “best and brightest in a large and highly competitive world of Southern California professionals” who demonstrate outstanding commitment to their practice, their firm, and the community.

London – April 15, 2025: Emma Wright, a market leading lawyer representing prominent technology companies and governments on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, has joined Crowell & Moring U.K. LLP as a partner in its Privacy and Cybersecurity Group in London.
