ABA - Privacy Legislation in the Works…What to Expect in 2013
December 20, 2012
It seems that each Congressional session brings with it new legislation aimed at regulating how people’s online activities and personal data are collected, tracked, managed, stored, and marketed. With international regulators beginning to act, Congressional involvement is only a matter of time. But what is the state of play among the various proposals? Which proposals are most likely to become law? Will changes in committee chairmanships impact what will be enacted? How should companies assess their current privacy policies to stay ahead of proposed regulations? These questions and more will be analyzed as a panel of privacy attorneys and senior Congressional staff lead a discussion on these issues and what to anticipate in the coming Congress.
Josh Tzuker will be the Moderator.
