Sima Namiri-Kalantari is a partner in Crowell & Moring's Los Angeles office and is a member of the firm's Antitrust & Competition Group. Sima is a complex commercial litigator, focusing on antitrust and unfair competition law. Her primary practice includes defending clients in civil antitrust litigation as well as representing Fortune 500 companies as plaintiffs in recovery actions when they have been victims of price-fixing cartels.

Sima has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in antitrust litigation since 2018.

From 2015 to 2016, Sima served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Beverly Reid O’Connell, U.S. District Court in the Central District of California.

During law school, Sima served as co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Technology. She also worked as an extern in the U.S. Attorney's Office Criminal Division, Central District of California. Before attending law school, Sima was an analyst at a technology consulting firm.

Sima is active in several professional organizations, including the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Sima was selected as a 2019 Pathfinder by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization comprised of the legal profession's top general counsels and managing partners.



Representative Matters

  • Represented a multinational provider of communications technology and services against mobile phone manufacturer in lawsuit alleging violation of FRAND commitments under California's Unfair Competition Law. 
  • Represented a major automaker in price-fixing litigation to recover overcharges on purchases of flexible polyurethane foam caused by an international price-fixing cartel.
  • Represented a telecommunications equipment provider in one of the largest multi-district litigation antitrust actions in the country alleging that a cartel of major international manufacturers fixed the prices of LCD displays used in computer monitors, laptops, cell phones, and other products.
