Chicago Partner Brad Lane named to Pro Bono Volunteer Honor Roll
Chicago – June 16, 2022: The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) has named Crowell & Moring to its 2022 Pro Bono Recognition Roster, which honors law firms and corporations that have made significant commitments and contributions to providing free legal services to economically challenged individuals, families and communities.
In addition, Crowell partner Brad Lane was one of seven individuals named to PILI’s Pro Bono Volunteer Honor Roll, which recognizes individuals based on the contributions they have made over the past year to helping those in need of free legal services across Illinois. The honorees were recognized at a ceremony in Chicago on June 15.
Lane is a member of PILI’s Board of Directors, as well as a volunteer with the Legal Prep Community Law Clinic, a monthly community-based clinic at Legal Prep Charter Academies in the Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. He has volunteered since the clinic’s inception and recruited other Crowell lawyers to serve at the clinic. Lane told PILI that he does pro bono work, in part, because “people of lesser means often desperately need legal help, and so for me, finding solutions to my pro bono clients’ legal problems is a rewarding experience.”
