Crowell & Moring "Recommended" by the Legal 500

Washington, DC – April 26, 2004:  Crowell & Moring partners Robert Maclean and Kristof Roox were recently ranked as “recommended” practitioners by the Legal 500, one of Europe's premier guides to top lawyers.  Robert was named as a leading practitioner in the area of Customs, Trade, WTO and Anti-dumping.  Kristof was cited as a “rising star with experience on the international side of IP.

Robert is a partner in C&M's Brussels office and joined the firm in January 2004. He has been practising EU law, mainly in Brussels, for more than ten years now, a period that has included an internship at the European Commission’s Anti-Dumping Unit.  Robert’s main areas of expertise are anti-dumping law, anti-subsidy law, EU customs law, unilateral and bilateral trade remedies as well as market access strategies. He is also heavily involved in litigation before the European Court of First Instance on trade-related matters with a high degree of success

Kristof is also a partner in the Brussels office. He specializes in intellectual property litigation, with a particular focus on complex patent litigation, in a variety of technological and commercial fields. He has been involved in a number of cases involving parallel litigation in several jurisdictions and European cross-border issues. In addition to traditional litigation, Kristof advises on many aspects of intellectual property portfolio management, including licensing, protection of trade and domain names, combating counterfeiting and piracy, broadcasting and cable retransmission, technology transfer and strategic IP planning. He has also extensive experience in a wide variety of media law issues.
