Washington, D.C. - June 16, 2009: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that the firm ranked among the top law firms in the ALM Media/Incisive Media Minority Law Journal's 2009 "Diversity Scorecard." The firm ranked 38 out of 210 of the nation's largest grossing law firms surveyed. The "Diversity Scorecard" focused on attorney headcounts for racial minorities as of September 30, 2008.

In 2009, the Minority Law Journal used a new method of calculating diversity - giving credit to firms that have increased the racial diversity of their partnership ranks. Under the new method, each responding firm's percentage of minority lawyers was combined with its percentage of minority partners to come up with a diversity score. Crowell & Moring was given a diversity score of 25.9.

Crowell & Moring LLP is an international law firm with more than 450 lawyers practicing in litigation, antitrust, government contracts, health care, corporate, intellectual property and a variety of other practice areas. More than two-thirds of the firm's attorneys regularly litigate disputes on behalf of domestic and international corporations, start-up businesses, and individuals. Crowell & Moring's extensive client work ranges from advising on one of the world's largest telecommunications mergers to representing governments and corporations on international arbitration matters. Based in Washington, D.C., the firm also has offices in New York, London, Brussels, Los Angeles, and Orange County, CA.
