Washington, D.C. – Nov. 24, 2004: Crowell & Moring LLP landed in the National Law Journal's 27th annual "NLJ 250" listing, coming in at number 154 with 275 lawyers. Published Nov. 15, the survey lists the nation's largest law firms during the period of Oct. 1, 2003, to Sept. 30, 2004.
John Macleod, chairman of the firm, said, "Our ranking among the top 250 law firms in the country is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to quality lawyering and public service. I commend our attorneys who, through their hard work, continue to make Crowell & Moring a leader in the legal arena."
Approximately 300 law firms were surveyed to determine the 250 largest. Law firms must have more lawyers based in the United States than in any other country to eligible for the survey. To give an accurate portrait of sizes, firms are ranked by the total number of full- time equivalent, or FTE, attorneys.
