Crowell & Moring Bolsters Corporate Group with London Partner Simon Evers

London – October 4, 2016: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Simon Evers to its London office as a partner in the firm's Corporate Group. Evers joins the firm from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he was instrumental in establishing the firm’s English law practice in London.

“Simon’s corporate experience, particularly rooted in the London market, will be an invaluable addition to our practice,” said James R. Stuart, co-chair of Crowell & Moring's Corporate Group. “He will play an important role in our transatlantic deals and help bolster the London office and our European network.”

Evers, an English-qualified solicitor, focuses his practice on advising European and U.S. companies on M&A, takeovers, and other strategic corporate transactions. He has advised on multiple multi-billion-dollar transactions and regularly counsels clients on corporate governance matters and corporate and securities law and regulation. Evers has particular know-how setting up operational joint ventures with companies in the transportation and energy industries. His clients have included Verisk Analytics, Technip, Maersk, TeliaSonera, and Morgan Stanley.

Evers received his law degree from Nottingham Law School and his B.A. from the University of Oxford. He is admitted to practice in England and Wales. He worked as an associate at Slaughter and May, starting in 2005, before joining Davis Polk & Wardwell in 2012.
