London – July 24, 2020: Crowell & Moring has launched a solicitor training contract programme in London. The programme will provide the opportunity to work at a dynamic and growing international law firm representing significant and well-known clients on a broad range of matters, including in litigation, arbitration, corporate, finance, restructuring and insolvency, energy and infrastructure, international trade, and insurance. The firm will have an opening for a trainee to begin in January 2021.
“Introducing a training contract programme is a further, exciting step in our plans to grow the London office,” said Robert Weekes, managing partner of Crowell & Moring’s London office. “Our trainees will flourish from day one by being involved in the interesting and challenging work that we all do here. We are all delighted to see the office expanding in this way.”
The non-rotational training contract will ensure that the trainee has access to a broad spectrum of work, together with frequent contact with clients and the responsibility that comes along with it. In addition, the firm is offering an ongoing, in-depth programme of technical skills training, which, combined with the opportunity for secondments on-site with a client, as well as to Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office, results in a comprehensive and exciting two-year programme.
Partner Robin Baillie, who serves as the Training Principal for the London office, remarked: “I am really pleased that we are introducing this programme for our London office. Crowell & Moring combines a unique, inclusive, and caring team culture and a passion for diversity with the commercial, client-focused advice that one would expect from a leading law firm; in these difficult times that is a powerful combination.”
The firm will host two webinars in August for potential applicants to learn more about the culture and environment at Crowell & Moring, and what they can expect from the training experience. Click here to register for the 25 August webinar and here for the 27 August webinar.
