Crowell & Moring Names Andrea Markstrom as Chief Information Officer

Washington – June 22, 2026: Crowell & Moring has named Andrea Markstrom as Chief Information Officer to lead the firm’s global technology platform and operations teams and drive technology strategy that will advance the objectives of the firm and its clients.

Markstrom brings 30 years of experience leading global information technology organizations for large firms and corporations to the role. She will be based in the New York office.

“Andrea’s extensive experience leading complex digital initiatives across diverse sectors—particularly in the rapidly changing legal market—will enhance Crowell’s delivery of innovative technology strategies and solutions that keep pace with the constantly evolving business needs of the firm and our clients,” said Joseph J. Most recently, Markstrom served as CIO at international firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. She previously served in executive technology and information roles at Schulte Roth & Zabel, Taft Stettinius & Hollister and Blank Rome, as well as technology leadership roles at Faegre Baker Daniels and Target Corporation.
