New York – March 9, 2021: Crowell & Moring partner Evan D. Wolff served as co-chair for Columbia University’s New York Cyber Task Force as it released a new report calling for businesses and governments to work together to establish a national cyber response network. The New York Cyber Task Force, affiliated with Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, brings together leading voices in the private, public, and academic sectors to discuss the most pressing issues. According to the latest report, “these are the three groups that must integrate their knowledge, plans, and actions to preserve the benefits of the information revolution, while dealing with the threats.”

The newly released report addresses how to improve national cyber readiness and looks to the future at cyber threats that may be lurking as geopolitical power struggles continue and technology continues to advance. The Task Force offers a host of recommendations that incorporate a holistic approach to facing the cyber challenges of tomorrow, including public-private partnerships and other forms of collaboration.
