Crowell & Moring Named to Global Arbitration Review’s 2025 “GAR 100” List

Washington – May 1, 2025: Crowell & Moring’s International Dispute Resolution Group has earned a spot in the 18th edition of Global Arbitration Review's GAR 100, a guide to the top 100 law firms with international arbitration capabilities. GAR is one of the leading journals of public and private arbitration.

The publication highlighted the practice’s multiple successes, including securing a $500 million award against an Egyptian port authority in a dispute over a cancelled project, a $100 million Energy Charter Treaty award against Mongolia for Khan Resources, and a more than $28 million award against Pakistan related to the asset recovery of the country’s former prime minister.

In conversation with the GAR editors, one client who used the firm to win an expropriation claim and enforce against a state described the team is “very easy to deal with, very client oriented and very competent.” Partner Ian Laird and counsel Ashley Riveira were described as “very hard working.”

Another client praised the firm’s “mastery of international arbitration rules and procedures” and the “tremendous written and oral advocacy” of Laird and partner Randa Adra.
