Crowell & Moring Secures Appointment of Joint Administrators over William John (HV) PLC

September 22, 2026 — Crowell & Moring represented a group of bondholders in securing the appointment of Michael Leeds and Kristina Kicks of Interpath Limited as joint administrators of William John (HV) PLC. 

 William John (HV) PLC raised £110 million from bondholders to support its purported spot currency trading business. The bondholders sought the administration after payments to them were not made for more than 16 months. The company opposed the application, citing a proposed refinancing, but ICC Judge Greenwood proceeded to  appoint the joint administrators stating that the company was “hopelessly insolvent.” 

Crowell will continue to advise the joint administrators on asset recoveries and investigations into the company’s affairs, including potential claims against third parties.
