Washington – May 6, 2019: As it celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Washington Lawyers’ Committee has published a set of articles in the Howard Law Journal, including one written by Crowell & Moring’s George D. Ruttinger.

Orange County – April 30, 2019: The Orange County Asian American Bar Association honored Crowell & Moring with the Community Partner Award. The award recognizes “exemplary dedication, generosity, and engagement with the local and legal community,” according to the association.

Washington – April 29, 2019: Crowell & Moring is pleased to announce that it has secured 61 rankings for 53 individual lawyers in the Chambers USA 2019 guide. Twenty-one practice areas were also ranked in the guide. The regional and national rankings are driven by independent interviews of clients and members of the legal community.

Brussels – April 16, 2019: The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) 2019 edition has recognized 11 practice areas and 14 lawyers in Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office. The firm is recognized as “top tier” in three categories. Among the lawyers recognized, Thomas De Meese, co-managing partner of the Brussels office, is listed in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame for “continued excellence in client service.”

San Francisco – April 11, 2019: A. Marisa Chun, an experienced trial and appellate lawyer, has joined Crowell & Moring LLP’s San Francisco office as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group. Chun’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, consumer class actions, and internal and government investigations, with significant emphasis on the technology, energy, and health care sectors.

Brussels–April 9, 2019: The Brussels office of Crowell & Moring, LLP will team up with Young Bar, a local non-profit group, to launch a call-in clinic that offers legal services for free.

Washington – April 8, 2019: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that partners John T. Brennan Jr. and Peter J. Eyre, and senior counsel Jennifer A. Washington — April 8, 2019: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that its Government Contracts Group has launched a “GovCon Legal Resource Center” mobile application, offering universally applicable government contracts content all in one convenient location.

Washington – April 5, 2019: The Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index gave Crowell & Moring, LLP a 100 percent rating in its national benchmarking survey and report. The foundation rates companies based on their corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality. The perfect score places the firm on the foundation’s list of “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.” This marks the ninth consecutive year that the firm has been named to the list.

Washington – March 29, 2019: The Washington Business Journal has named Keith J. Harrison to its list of 2019 “Minority Business Leaders.” The award recognizes the region’s 25 most successful business men and women for their “entrepreneurial drive, creativity, and success.”

Washington – March 28, 2019: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that two antitrust deals in which the firm served as counsel were named winners at Global Competition Review’s annual GCR Awards: The AT&T/Time Warner merger was named “Merger Control Matter of the Year: Americas,” and United Technologies’ (UTC) $30 billion acquisition of Rockwell Collins was named “Merger Control Matter of the Year: Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa.” In addition, Charlesa Ceres, UTC’s associate general counsel for antitrust and competition, was named Corporate Counsel of the Year for her role advising UTC in the Rockwell Collins acquisition.

Washington – March 28, 2019: Crowell & Moring LLP, counsel for Marsha Lazareva, a prominent member of the business community in the Middle East, has filed a request for her temporary release from the Kuwaiti prison where she has been held for the past year.

Washington – March 21, 2019: Crowell & Moring’s podcast series ranked third out of the top five law firm podcasts by Good2bSocial, a digital marketing agency for lawyers and companies in the legal industry. The agency ranked the podcasts through an analysis of frequency, publicity, and content.

London – March 19, 2019: Andrew Knight joins Crowell & Moring’s London office as a partner in its Corporate and Financial Services practices to strengthen the firm’s ability to advise clients on debt finance and asset-based lending.

Washington – March 18, 2019: Crowell & Moring partner Kirsten Nathanson has been named an “Emerging Woman Leader in Private Practice” by DCA Live, an organization that recognizes people and companies driving growth in the Washington, D.C. economy. The award “identifies, recognizes, and honors 30-40 women lawyers who are (or are becoming) leaders within their law firms, demonstrating a unique strength in leadership.”

Washington – March 12, 2019: The Burton Awards committee of judges has awarded Crowell & Moring LLP partners Scott L. Winkelman, John S. Gibson, and Rebecca Baden Chaney, along with HP, Inc. division counsel Jennifer A. Prioleau, its “2019 Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Award” for an article entitled “Seven Ways to Prepare Your Legal Department for the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” published in ACC Docket. The award honors exceptional legal writing and recognizes 30 articles from entries submitted by the nation's 1,000 largest law firms.

Los Angeles – March 11, 2019: Crowell & Moring LLP is broadening its ability to help multinational clients navigate global expansion and regulatory compliance in China and the Asia Pacific by adding four international trade and global employment lawyers: partners Nicole J. Simonian and Evan Yee-Fan Chuck, senior counsel Robert Clifton Burns, and counsel Jackson Pai to its Los Angeles and Washington offices. As part of this move, Crowell & Moring International (CMI), the firm’s global policy and regulatory affairs consulting affiliate, is launching an office in Shanghai with seven trade, transactions, and tax professionals to support global businesses facing cross-border transactional, investigative, policy, and regulatory needs.

Washington – February 28, 2019: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that partner Ian A. Laird has been recognized by Latinvex as one of Latin America’s “Top 100 Lawyers.” The list honors 100 lawyers from 54 international law firms doing business in Latin America. Selections were made based on recent deals and business, the prominence of the firm in Latin America, and third-party rankings.
