Lorenzo Gasparetti Honored with Public Counsel Pro Bono Award

Los Angeles – November 11, 2025: Public Counsel has honored Crowell & Moring partner Lorenzo Gasparetti with a 2025 Pro Bono Award. The awards celebrate volunteers “who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to justice and service.”

The organization’s Immigrants' Rights Project’s Pro Bono Asylum Team selected Gasparetti for his work to obtain asylum for a victim of ethnic cleansing in the Darfur region of Sudan. The case, which spanned over the course of eight years, involved multiple successful merits hearings and two U.S. Government appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Gasparetti is a partner in Crowell’s Health Care Group in Los Angeles.
