New York – November 7, 2016: Crowell & Moring LLP is proud to announce that the Legal Aid Society has recognized the firm for its contributions to protecting the rights of low income workers. The awards were presented on October 26, 2016 in New York City. In addition to the firm’s recognition for its contributions to the Workers’ Rights Project, 11 Crowell & Moring lawyers were included in the list of honorees: partners Glen G. McGorty and Harry P. Cohen; senior partner James E. Kellett; counsels Anne Elise Herold Li and Jared Levine; and associates Preetha Chakrabarti, Honor Costello, Joanne Oleksyk, Bianca Prikazsky, Ethan W. Simonowitz, and Sheryl H. Wilson. The matters that the firm has worked on include human trafficking wage issues and retaliatory firing claims on behalf of the workers.

Crowell & Moring’s pro bono practice handles a broad range of matters, particularly children’s rights/family law, immigration, and criminal justice.
