Global Competition Review Recognizes Crowell & Moring’s Antitrust & Competition Group in "GCR 100 2023"

Washington – December 22, 2022: Global Competition Review recognized Crowell & Moring’s Antitrust & Competition Group in its “GCR 100 2023” – the leading ranking of the world’s competition policy law and economics practices. This year marks the 23rd edition of the awards and the 16th consecutive year that the Antitrust & Competition Group has been recognized.
In New York, the firm received a ranking of “Highly Recommended,” with the leadership of Olivier Antoine and Juan Arteaga noted. The firm’s representation of CSX in two consolidated multidistrict litigations was acknowledged, as well as work done advising Samsung and Mozilla in relation to federal investigations of Google.
In Washington, GCR spotlighted multiple efforts, including helping Mariott International in a case where TravelPass dropped its allegations and issued a rare public apology just before trial was set to begin. The team, led by group co-chair Shawn Johnson, also represents Raytheon Technologies and Geisinger Health in separate no-poach class actions.
In California, under the leadership of co-chair Jason Murray, the team, which includes partners Jordan Ludwig, Beatirce Nguyen, Deborah Arbabi, Daniel Sasse, and Chahira Solh, represented Cardinal Health and secured dismissal of federal antitrust claims regarding drug price fixing.
In Belgium, members of the team include partners Thomas De Meese and Karel Bourgeois, as well as senior counsel Karl Stas. GCR recognized the Belgian group for acting “Telenet as it sought an interim injunction against a joint venture between rivals Proximus and Orange.” The firm also “represents IPM in its appeal against the Belgian [Competition] Agency’s decision to clear the acquisition of RTL Belgium by Rossel and DPG Media.”
