Crowell & Moring Partners Make 'Top Lawyers' List

Washington, D.C. – Nov. 30, 2004: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce the inclusion of five partners in the December edition of Washingtonian magazine's special report "Top Lawyers."
The lawyers recognized in the report are Richard L. Beizer and Peter White, Criminal Defense; Richard Morvillo, Securities; Richard McMillan, Intellectual Property; and Kent Gardiner, Class Actions.

The list includes 780 lawyers from Rockville to Woodbridge, and was compiled using information gleaned from attorneys in each specialty area regarding who in the field they trust with their business. The lawyers with the most recommendations made the list.
Mr. Beizer devotes most of his time to the defense of companies and individuals involved in a broad array of white collar criminal grand jury investigations and trials. Mr. Beizer also defends companies and individuals accused of civil violations of the False Claims Act, litigates complex commercial disputes and conducts internal corporate compliance investigations.
Mr. White focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, related civil and appellate litigation, forfeiture proceedings, internal corporate investigations and development of corporate compliance programs.
Mr. McMillan is a trial lawyer, specializing in the field of business litigation, including intellectual property, antitrust and other complex commercial disputes. Mr. McMillan's extensive trial experience includes both jury and non-jury cases in federal and state courts, as well as before arbitration panels and administrative tribunals.
Mr. Morvillo has handled many SEC, NYSE, NASD and grand jury investigations on behalf of corporations, corporate executives, brokerage firms, investment advisors, accountants, lawyers and individual investors. He has successfully litigated several SEC enforcement cases to judgment.
Mr. Gardiner specializes in antitrust and other complex litigation, including class actions, antitrust/intellectual property cases, and multi-district litigation.
