Doha – June 4, 2025: Crowell & Moring advised Quantinuum, the world’s largest integrated quantum computing company formed by the merger of Cambridge Quantum and Honeywell Quantum Solutions, on its $1 billion joint venture with Al Rabban Capital, a prominent Qatari investment group.
The transaction involved sophisticated corporate, regulatory, compliance and intellectual property considerations, including export controls and foreign investment issues. This milestone partnership highlights Crowell & Moring’s wide breadth of expertise in corporate transactions and regulatory advisory across global markets and reinforces the firm’s commitment to enabling transformative technology partnerships worldwide.
The agreement was signed during President Donald J. Trump’s recent visit to Qatar, underscoring the strategic alignment of U.S.-Qatar partnerships in emerging technologies. The joint venture will invest significantly in cutting-edge quantum technologies and local workforce development, driving growth and innovation in both countries. The transaction was highlighted in the White House Fact Sheet as part of President Trump’s $1.2 trillion economic commitment to Qatar.
