Foggan Again Named to ‘Top 250 Women in Litigation’ List
Washington – August 18, 2020: Benchmark Litigation has again named Laura Foggan, partner and chair of Crowell & Moring’s Insurance/Reinsurance Group, to its “Top 250 Women in Litigation” list. The list draws from a wide range of practice areas, and features leading female litigators who recently have participated in impactful litigation matters and have earned the respect of their peers and clients. In addition, Benchmark named A. Marisa Chun, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group, a “California Litigation Star.”
Foggan has been repeatedly recognized by her peers as one of the nation’s elite insurance lawyers, and she is one of the industry’s leading attorneys helping insurance companies tackle emerging issues and maximize opportunities in the digital age. She litigates complex, and often high-profile, coverage disputes, product liability, and privacy claims in state and federal courts. Her practice encompasses trial and appellate matters, as well as arbitration and mediation of significant disputes.
Chun is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who represents clients in high-stakes commercial litigation, class actions, trials, and appeals, as well as in government and internal investigations involving alleged health care fraud, trade secret misappropriation, antitrust violations, sexual misconduct, and other matters. As a former television reporter, prosecutor, and senior official at the U.S. Department of Justice, Chun draws upon her legal, government, and media experience when advising clients and boards of directors navigating complex matters in today’s highly regulated environment.
Benchmark’s research process involves months of investigation into litigators’ professional activities, client feedback surveys, and one-on-one interviews. Lawyers recognized by Benchmark were chosen through review of recent casework, how lawyers at peer firms rank them, and client feedback on their performance.
