Washington – September 22, 2026: Crowell & Moring announced today that Michele Knorr, a former attorney in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of General Counsel, has joined the firm as senior counsel in its Environment & Natural Resources Group, where she will advise clients on agricultural technology and chemical regulatory issues.

September 22, 2026 — Crowell & Moring represented a group of bondholders in securing the appointment of Michael Leeds and Kristina Kicks of Interpath Limited as joint administrators of William John (HV) PLC. 

London – September 18, 2026: Crowell & Moring advised the Gold Family on the successful disposal of a 24.9% interest in WH Holding Limited, the holding company of West Ham United Football Club. The Gold Family originally agreed to sell its shareholding to a consortium comprising PCP Capital Partners, led by Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, and Ashland Forest Capital Partners. However, the proposed sale was subject to the pre-emption rights of the existing shareholders (including Daniel Kretinsky), who exercised those rights in full in September 2026 and subsequently completed the acquisition. The Crowell team was led by London corporate partner Simon Evers, counsel Stephen Bowman, and associate Emily McGovern.

Los Angeles – September 17, 2026: Nima Darouian, an employment litigator with more than 15 years of experience handling sensitive employment disputes, has joined Crowell & Moring as a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group in Los Angeles. His practice focuses on wage and hour class actions and representative matters under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).

Washington – September 16, 2026: Crowell & Moring announced today the addition of two senior antitrust attorneys from the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Group. Rebecca Valentine joins Crowell as a partner in Washington, D.C. from the DOJ Antitrust Division’s Defense, Industrials, and Aerospace (DIA) Section. Ryan Harsch will join the firm as a senior counsel in New York from the FTC’s ​American Competition Enforcement Division and ​Northeast Region​al Office.​ ​​

Los Angeles – September 10, 2026: The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has named Crowell & Moring’s Amy Karnikian to its 2026 Business Aviation Top 40 Under 40 list in the Business Management category. The annual recognition honors emerging leaders whose professional achievements, community involvement, innovative thinking, and commitment are helping shape the future of business aviation. 

London – Sept. 2, 2026: Crowell & Moring has added leading international arbitration attorney, Chiraag Shah, as a partner in London. London – July 29, 2026 [Updated Aug. 26, 2026]: Crowell & Moring's London Restructuring and Insolvency team has been appointed by Kroll Advisory in the administration of Woodville Consultants Limited (trading as Woodville Litigation Funding), a motor finance litigation funder with an estimated £330m loan book and more than 300,000 claims under its belt. The team first acted for a group of investors in successfully securing a contested administration order from the High Court and has since been retained by Kroll to assist in the wider administration process.

Chicago – August 17, 2026: Martin J. Bishop, co-chair of Crowell’s Health Care Group and a member of the firm’s Management Board, has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2026 list of Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting, & Law. The award honors leading Chicago attorneys, accountants, and consultants who have demonstrated significant professional leadership, industry impact, mentorship, and community involvement. 

Washington – August 13, 2026: Crowell & Moring partners Jeffrey Gleason, Andrew Avsec, and Rochelle-Leigh (Shelley) Rosenberg have been named to BTI Consulting Group’s 2026 Client Service All-Stars list, which recognizes attorneys for exceptional client service. This list is based on independent research and feedback from more than 16,000 corporate counsel and other legal leaders.  

August 11, 2026: Crowell & Moring represented Vancouver-based Orla Mining Ltd. (TSX: OLA; NYSE American: ORLA) as lead U.S. deal counsel in the closing of its public company merger with Equinox Gold Corp. (TSX: EQX, NYSE American: EQX), creating a new North American senior gold producer with an implied market capitalization of approximately $18.5 billion at announcement.

Crowell partner Kate M. Growley has received an ABA Presidential appointment to serve as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Cybersecurity Legal Task Force for a one-year term beginning in August 2026. The appointment builds on Kate’s longstanding ABA leadership, including numerous roles in the ABA’s Public Contract Law and Science & Technology Sections, and recognizes her deep knowledge in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and national security law and policy. 

New York – Aug. 10, 2026: Crowell & Moring partner Dan Zelenko has been named a 2026 Notable Leader in Accounting, Consulting & Law by Crain’s New York Business. The award recognizes New York attorneys, accountants and consultants for professional leadership, industry impact, mentorship and community involvement. 

Washington: Crowell & Moring secured a U.S. Supreme Court victory on behalf of the Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy (ARAP) and the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) when the Court denied RMS of Georgia’s petition for writ of certiorari in RMS of Georgia v. Environmental Protection Agency. This ruling preserves a favorable decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit regarding implementation of the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act (AIM Act). The AIM Act provides for the phasedown of the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) based on their high global warming potential. HFCs are used in many important sectors of the economy including air-conditioning and refrigeration, insulating foams, industrial solvents, aerosol sprays, and laboratory equipment. ARAP and AHRI, as associations representing businesses that produce and use HFCs and their replacements, have a vital interest in the orderly implementation of the AIM Act.

August 4, 2026: Crowell & Moring represented Antares, a nuclear fission energy company developing compact microreactors for defense and space applications, in connection with its $470 million Series C funding round. The round was co-led by Paradigm and Caffeinated Capital, with participation from Point72 Ventures, Shine Capital, Industrious Ventures, and others.
