Jared Levine is a counsel in the Litigation Group at Crowell & Moring's New York office.

Jared's practice focuses on a wide array of complex commercial matters including post-closing merger and asset sale disputes, shareholder litigation, consumer class actions, business torts, product liability claims, finder/broker agreement disputes, white collar civil defense, and complex insurance litigation.

Jared appears regularly in state and federal trial courts as well as commercial arbitrations, where he represents clients from a broad range of industries including private equity, telecommunications, automotive manufacturing, commodity and securities trading, software development, and retail marketing.

Jared is also a highly experienced appellate attorney who regularly handles high stakes appeals in state and federal appellate jurisdictions throughout the country.

In addition to his commercial work, Jared devotes a substantial portion of his practice to pro bono litigation and has represented dozens of individuals in immigration proceedings, employment disputes, criminal appeals, and landlord-tenant litigation. Between 2013 and 2017, Jared received five consecutive Pro Bono Publico Awards from the Legal Aid Society for his work on a variety of matters including representing a victim of human trafficking in a civil dispute against a foreign diplomat and holding the New York City Transit Authority accountable for unlawful employment discrimination against individuals on the basis of their prior criminal histories. In 2017, Jared argued a successful appeal before the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and obtained reversal of a deportation order on behalf of an illiterate, bisexual, Muslim man who fled violent persecution in his native Guyana.

Jared graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers School of Law in 2010, where he was class valedictorian and the recipient of the Saul Tischler Memorial Award and the Harry A. Moore Prize (each given to the student with the highest GPA in the graduating class) as well as the Rutgers Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award for International Law. While in law school, Jared was elected co-chair of the Rutgers Moot Court Board and president of the Human Rights Forum.

He also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Dickinson R. Debevoise, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Honorable Delissa Ridgway, U.S. Court of International Trade.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Jared worked with nonprofit organizations focused on international development and conflict resolution. In 2008, he was the recipient of a Rutgers Public Interest Law Foundation Summer Grant for his work with the United Nations Global Compact, a United Nations program focusing on corporate social responsibility and private sector engagement.
