Crowell & Moring Recognized by the Diversity and Flexibility Alliance for "Tipping the Scale" with Women Partners in 2019

Washington – November 13, 2019: Crowell & Moring received the “Tipping the Scale” award from the Diversity and Flexibility Alliance for having a diverse 2019 partner class that consisted of 50 percent or more women. Crowell & Moring was among 51 firms to receive the honor.

In 2019, more than 80 percent of the U.S. lawyers promoted to Crowell & Moring’s partnership were women. 

“Ensuring that women are strongly represented in our partnership ranks is a significant priority of the firm,” said Don Smith, Crowell & Moring’s Chief Talent & Inclusion Officer. “The achievement of the firm’s Mansfield 2.0 certification, the continued success of the firm’s Sponsorship Initiative, and the support and programming that our Women’s Leadership Initiative provides are all helping our efforts to recruit, retain, and promote top diverse talent.”

The Diversity and Flexibility Alliance is a think-tank working to create strategic, practical solutions around diversity and flexibility for law firms and other organizations. The award was presented at the organization’s annual conference in Washington, D.C.
