The Trade Agreements Act (TAA) Prohibitions and the Government Channel
April 18, 2006
Recent fraud cases against major office suppliers have resulted in those companies paying over $30 million in penalties because they delivered items manufactured in China to the US federal government under the GSA schedule contract.
What are the implications of these actions on the IT community in general? What do schedule contractors need to do to ensure compliance? What do manufacturers need to do to ensure compliance? How can country of origin impact the different species of organizations in the channel like distributors, resellers, VARs, integrators, consultants and sales agents?
ITAA and immixGroup are jointly
sponsoring this executive breakfast with panelists representing the distributor, legal, manufacturer and reseller perspectives discussing the effects of Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance in the federal IT community.
This will be a lively discussion! Come with your questions. Every attendee will learn something valuable regardless of the role you play in the federal ecosystem.
Alan Gourley will be providing the Legal perspective at this executive breakfast.
