Northeast eDiscovery & IG Retreat
September 25-26, 2016
Site: The Ocean Edge Resort
Address: 2907 Main St, Brewster, MA
The Northeast eDiscovery & IG Retreat offers corporate executives, in-house lawyers, outside counsel, judges, thought leaders, and others an opportunity to explore what companies are doing to organize and create policies specifying how their information – primarily electronic information – is created, stored, used, archived, and deleted. The program looks at the processes companies are using to maximize the use of their information, the debate as to which stakeholders should be involved in these processes, and whether adequate standards exist or need to be created in this area. Panels will examine the interaction between legal issues and information governance efforts, including the effect of litigation holds, pending litigation, regulatory requirements, and fear of discovery sanctions.
Liz Figueira will speak on “Catching Up on the Implementation of the Amended Federal Rules
.” Liz’s presentation will address the extensive December 2015 amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure concerning discovery.
