FCBA Webcast: Excellence in Appellate Advocacy
October 13, 2006
Candid, thorough, and persuasive communication -- These are the heart of the practice of law and, more importantly, service to the law. These skills are particularly central to successful appellate advocacy. Join us for an informal conversation with Judge William C. Bryson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit exploring this topic. For several months, the Association has hosted a series of lunches on this topic with Judge Bryson in Washington, DC. The space has been full and the insights, invaluable. Those attending have included seasoned Supreme Court advocates and novice attorneys and both public and private sector lawyers.
Many in our web-audience have asked to participate in this series. Join us on October 13th and do just that. We are pleased that Circuit Judge Bryson has agreed to represent the Federal Circuit on this Webcast. Space will be available for in person participation on a first-come first-serve basis. We will keep the environment informal and the on-site audience small. Questions and comments will be welcome, except, of course, questions and comments relating to particular cases, pending or decided, which will be considered inappropriate.
Crowell & Moring's Mike Songer will be participating in the discussion.
