Cynthia Brady is a counsel in Crowell & Moring’s Orange County office, where she practices in the Antitrust & Competition Group. Cynthia’s practice focuses on pursuing and maximizing claims in complex antitrust settlements on behalf of a broad range of national and international clients.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring in November 2017, Cynthia was an in-house counsel at Macy’s, Inc. In that capacity, Cynthia served as a member of Macy’s captive litigation team, where she represented the company in employment and commercial litigation matters in both federal and state courts. Additionally, Cynthia provided legal support to Macy’s credit and banking operations. In this role, she advised her clients on various issues relating to Macy’s credit business, including litigation management, legislative and regulatory compliance, and data security, privacy, and information management. Before her position at Macy’s, Cynthia began her legal career as an associate in the San Diego office of a national litigation and business transactions firm, where she focused on environmental and commercial litigation.

Cynthia received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2009, where she attended law school on an academic scholarship. Cynthia was a lead articles editor for the San Diego Law Review and a national competitor and executive board member on the USD Appellate Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, Cynthia received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Masters of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine.
