Overview

Matt advises clients engaged in business with public sector customers at the federal, state, and local levels. Leveraging his prior contracts experience at a large defense contractor, Matt’s practice focuses on the pursuit and performance of government contracts, with an eye toward clients’ unique business concerns.

Prior to joining Crowell, Matt worked for Lockheed Martin as an intern for the company’s in-house legal team. He was also a contracts negotiator—integrated in business teams across multiple divisions, including the Aeronautics Company and Missiles and Fire Control. In that role, he negotiated contracts for both major production programs and cutting-edge development projects.

During law school, Matt was a fellow at Pepperdine’s Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law, where he participated in the Startup Law Clinic—advising a southern California tech startup under the supervision of an attorney.
