Washington – August 15, 2024: The 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® has recognized 42 Crowell & Moring lawyers as "Best Lawyers" and 29 lawyers as “Ones to Watch.”

Washington – June 24, 2024: Crowell & Moring has been recommended in eight practice areas in the 17th edition of the Legal 500 United States. In addition, partner Daniel Forman, co-chair of the firm’s Government Contracts Group, has been named to the Legal 500’s “Hall of Fame” for Government Contracts.

Washington – June 6, 2024: Crowell & Moring earned 78 rankings for 67 lawyers, as well as 41 national and statewide practice area rankings, in the Chambers USA 2024 guide. The rankings are driven by independent interviews of clients and lawyers at peer firms.

Washington – January 10, 2024: Crowell & Moring has published Litigation Forecast 2024: What Corporate Counsel Need to Know for the Coming Year. The 12th-annual Litigation Forecast focuses on trends in intellectual property, regulatory and other U.S. litigation, with special coverage of supply chain recovery and international litigation.

Washington – June 1, 2022: Chambers and Partners has ranked 70 Crowell & Moring lawyers in 84 rankings across 40 categories in the Chambers USA 2022 guide. In addition, 37 practice areas were also ranked in the guide. The regional and national rankings are driven by independent interviews of clients and lawyers.

Washington – January 3, 2022: Crowell & Moring elected 13 lawyers to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2022. The firm also promoted seven to the position of senior counsel and 19 associates to the position of counsel. The new partners have been promoted from within the ranks of the firm’s London, New York, and Washington, D.C. offices and from across several practice groups, including Advertising & Media; Antitrust & Competition; Corporate; Energy; Environment & Natural Resources; Government Contracts; Health Care; Technology & Intellectual Property; International Dispute Resolution; Litigation; Mass Tort, Product, and Consumer Litigation; and Privacy & Cybersecurity.

Washington – March 5, 2021: Crowell & Moring lawyers participated in the National Bar Association Commercial Law Section’s 34th Annual Corporate Counsel Conference, serving as moderators for “fireside chats” with chief executives on topics ranging from how corporate legal departments function to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the private sector to outside counsel guidelines. Taking place virtually from February 23-26, the annual conference was “a place to nurture connections and… spend three days in fellowship with corporate attorneys from law firms and companies around the world.”

Washington – November 5, 2020: Crowell & Moring ranked nationally in 19 practice areas in the 2021 edition of U.S. News & World Report – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms.” In addition, the firm was ranked in 33 metropolitan categories. 

Washington – August 20, 2020: The 2021 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® has named two Crowell & Moring lawyers – Laura A. Foggan and Paul W. Mourning– as a "Lawyer of the Year" in their respective categories and regions. The publication also recognized 46 firm lawyers as "Best Lawyers" and nine lawyers as “Ones to Watch.”

Washington, D.C. – March 16, 2020: Fourteen Crowell & Moring lawyers have been named as 2020 Acritas Stars™, a listing of stand-out lawyers in private practice as nominated by clients. Acritas, a leading legal market research company, gathered feedback and data from more than 8,200 client interviews.

Washington – January 24, 2020: Crowell & Moring’s Ruben F. Reyna was elected president of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (HBA-DC) for the coming year. Reyna has been an active member within the organization for many years, holding multiple leadership positions.

Washington — January 22, 2020: Crowell & Moring has released Litigation Forecast 2020: What Corporate Counsel Need to Know for the Coming Year. The eighth-annual Forecast provides forward-looking insights from leading Crowell & Moring lawyers to help legal departments anticipate and respond to challenges that might arise in the year ahead. For 2020, the Forecast focuses on how the digital revolution is giving rise to new litigation risks, and it explores trends in employment non-competes, the future of stare decisis, the role of smartphones in investigations and litigation, and more.

Washington – November 5, 2019: U.S. News & World Report – Best Lawyers has ranked Crowell & Moring in 48 practice areas in the 2020 “Best Law Firms” rankings. The firm has seven practices ranked nationally in Tier 1 and 18 total at the national level. San Francisco – April 11, 2019: A. Marisa Chun, an experienced trial and appellate lawyer, has joined Crowell & Moring LLP’s San Francisco office as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group. Chun’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, consumer class actions, and internal and government investigations, with significant emphasis on the technology, energy, and health care sectors.

Washington – March 12, 2019: The Burton Awards committee of judges has awarded Crowell & Moring LLP partners Scott L. Winkelman, John S. Gibson, and Rebecca Baden Chaney, along with HP, Inc. division counsel Jennifer A. Prioleau, its “2019 Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Award” for an article entitled “Seven Ways to Prepare Your Legal Department for the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” published in ACC Docket. The award honors exceptional legal writing and recognizes 30 articles from entries submitted by the nation's 1,000 largest law firms.
