Intellectual Asset Management recognized Crowell & Moring in its IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners guide, awarding the firm a gold band ranking as one of the top three firms handling patent litigation and transactions in Belgium, and a silver ranking for the firm’s Chicago office. The firm was also recommended nationally in the United States for trade secrets litigation. This marks the twelfth consecutive year that the firm has been ranked in the guide in Belgium.

The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) 2025 edition has recognized 18 practice areas and nine lawyers in Crowell & Moring’s Brussels and Doha offices. In addition, Crowell is one of only two firms in Qatar to receive Legal 500’s “Client Satisfaction” distinction.

Brussels – March 25, 2025: Chambers and Partners has ranked five Crowell & Moring practice groups and nine individual lawyers in the Chambers Europe 2025 guide.

Chicago – February 3, 2025: World Trademark Review again recognized Crowell & Moring as a top trademark firm in its 2025 guide. Crowell received the highest ranking—gold—in the Belgium national ranking, and in Illinois for enforcement and litigation, and prosecution and strategy. The firm also achieved “Recommended” status in the International category and silver in the U.S. National category, and earned recognition as a top firm in California.

Edward Taelman has joined Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office as a partner. His litigation experience and technical knowledge will strengthen the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, particularly in the area of trademark litigation.
