One-Year Review: Advancing Environmental Justice

Webinar | 05.05.22, 8:00 AM EDT - 9:00 AM EDT

Please join a panel of Crowell & Moring’s Environmental and Natural Resources Group for a webinar as they conduct a review of recent federal and state government actions concerning environmental justice (“EJ”).

In the past year, many federal agencies have considered and adopted EJ policies into their rulemaking procedures, enforcement efforts, and infrastructure development. By comparison, several states have done the same albeit with more emphasis on the passage of statewide EJ laws and regulations. This webinar will highlight these federal and state actions in an effort to keep companies abreast of key challenges, opportunities, and enforcement risks in the future.

Topics to be discussed will include:

  • Federal Justice40 Initiative and EJ-Related Infrastructure Opportunities
  • Examples of Increased Federal EJ Enforcement
  • Newly Developed and Updated Tools for Recognizing EJ Communities
  • State Laws and Regulatory Actions Intended to Increase EJ Enforcement
  • What Companies Should Expect to See Next
