GIDEP Reporting for All - The New FAR Counterfeit Parts and Nonconformance Reporting Requirement
Webinar | 12.17.19, 8:00 AM EST - 9:30 AM EST
Please join us on December 17th for a special webinar presentation addressing the new FAR requirement that will change your supply chain compliance program (or compel you to start one).
Counterfeit parts reporting is no longer restricted to DoD contractors or to electronic parts. A new FAR requirement going into effect December 23, 2019, will require all contractors to participate in Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (“GIDEP”) reporting for critical counterfeit or suspect counterfeit parts, as well as certain nonconforming parts and other items. Moreover, contractors will be required to monitor the GIDEP database to identify and investigate any reported counterfeit or nonconforming parts in the contractor’s supply chain.
This webinar will specifically address:
- What products and contract types are (and are not) subject to the new reporting requirement
- What qualifies as a counterfeit or suspect counterfeit part
- What qualifies as nonconforming parts
- Who must report and who is exempt
- Reporting timelines and process
- Best practices for updating your supply chain compliance program to incorporate this new reporting mandate
