Webinar | 07.08.15, 8:00 AM EDT - 9:00 AM EDT
Please join us for the a webinar devoted to the Department of Labor’s proposed regulations concerning the white collar exemptions to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
On June 30, the DOL published its long-awaited revisions to the wage-hour regulations concerning overtime eligibility under the FLSA. These proposed changes include the requirement that any employee earning less than approximately $50,000 be made eligible for overtime. In addition, changes may be coming to the “duties tests” underlying the FLSA exemptions. The proposed regulations confirm that employers should review their employee classifications and prepare to adapt to the coming rules.
Among the topics our panelists will discuss are the following:
- The new salary threshold requirement and its implications
- Likely changes in the “job duties” aspect of the exemptions
- The impact of the regulations on overtime compliance, including the tracking of hours worked and time reporting requirements
- Best practices for the review of FLSA classifications for employees in “gray areas”
- Financial consequences of the proposed changes

The landscape of AI governance and regulation is shifting. Following the release of the White House’s “America’s AI Action Plan” in July 2025 and the President’s signing of related Executive Orders, the White House has emphasized (at least rhetorically) a preference for innovation, adoption, and deregulation. But that does not tell the entire story. The Administration remains committed to exercising a heavy hand in AI, including by banning the U.S. government’s procurement of so-called “woke AI,” intervening in the development of data centers and the export of the AI technology stack, imposing an export fee for certain semiconductors to China, and assuming a stake in a U.S. semiconductor company. State legislatures are also racing to implement their own regulations, particularly around AI’s use in critical areas, such as healthcare, labor and employment, and data privacy. The many sources of regulation raise the specter of a fragmented compliance environment for businesses. This webinar will delve into the Administration’s AI strategy, going beyond the headlines to analyze:
