Covid-19 and its HR impact: Social and fiscal support measures and/or restructuring?

Webinar | 09.10.20, 2:00 PM CEST - 4:00 PM CEST

The Covid-19 crisis will have a considerable impact on the future of companies and how they organize their workforce.

During the first part of this webinar we will provide you with practical information about the different support measures (both HR/social and fiscal measures) that have been adopted and that your business can implement in order to minimize costs and obtain more breathing space, with a view to avoiding a serious restructuring if possible.

For some businesses these measures will not be enough, and a restructuring will be unavoidable. Therefore, during the second half of this webinar will look more closely at the different restructuring possibilities and the main points to bear in mind. In particular, we will consider the consequences of collective and multiple dismissal, of closing all or part of an undertaking, and of other (less drastic) scenarios.

As we traverse these different topics during the webinar, we will also focus on the importance of clear communication whenever a business is forced to take measures such as these.

This webinar will be presented in Dutch and French.

The Artificial Intelligence Agenda from Capitol Hill to State Capitals: Where We Are and Where We Are (Probably) Going

The landscape of AI governance and regulation is shifting. Following the release of the White House’s “America’s AI Action Plan” in July 2025 and the President’s signing of related Executive Orders, the White House has emphasized (at least rhetorically) a preference for innovation, adoption, and deregulation. But that does not tell the entire story. The Administration remains committed to exercising a heavy hand in AI, including by banning the U.S. government’s procurement of so-called “woke AI,” intervening in the development of data centers and the export of the AI technology stack, imposing an export fee for certain semiconductors to China, and assuming a stake in a U.S. semiconductor company. State legislatures are also racing to implement their own regulations, particularly around AI’s use in critical areas, such as healthcare, labor and employment, and data privacy. The many sources of regulation raise the specter of a fragmented compliance environment for businesses. This webinar will delve into the Administration’s AI strategy, going beyond the headlines to analyze:...
