Tim Means Receives "McClaugherty Award" at Energy & Mineral Law Foundation's 26th Annual Institute

Washington, D.C. – May 18, 2005: Crowell & Moring partner Thomas (Tim) Means became the second recipient of the "McClaugherty Award" presented at the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation's (EMLF) 26th Annual Institute on May 17, 2005. The award was given after a thorough peer nomination process to recognize outstanding contributions to the EMLF organization and the fields of energy and mineral law. In particular, the award recognized the passion, enthusiasm, dedication and excellence that Means has exhibited in his work over many years.
Means is a member of the Crowell & Moring's Natural Resources & Environmental Group. His practice concentrates on judicial review of agency action and appellate advocacy, focusing on issues involving federal regulation of the mining industry, principally under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 (MSHA), the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA), and other environmental laws.
