Latinvex Names Nicole Janigian Simonian and Lisa Henneberry to Latin America’s Top 100 Female Lawyers 2023

Washington – October 5, 2023: Latinvex named Nicole Janigian Simonian and Lisa G. Henneberry to its list of Latin America's Top 100 Female Lawyers for 2023. Henneberry was honored in the Energy category and Simonian was honored in the Trade & Sanctions category. This is the fourth consecutive year that Simonian has received this honor.
According to Latinvex, the criteria for selection was a combination of factors, including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of firm in Latin America, and rankings by third parties such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, and M&A data from Refinitiv. The list is developed by Latinvex’s editorial and research staff using data from their annual survey of international law firms, as well as publicly available data.
Simonian is co-chair of the firm’s International Trade practice and Global Mobility Lead. She has over 20 years of experience working as a strategic advisor for a wide range of clients, from emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 multinational conglomerates, on their market entry and global business expansion throughout Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe. She manages compliance risks for multinational companies regarding cross-border investigations, global mobility and international employment, market access, and cross border data privacy. Outside of her practice, Simonian is active in the Los Angeles community, serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the chair of the Chamber’s Global Initiative Council.
Henneberry is a partner in the firm’s Energy practice. She has extensive experience in the development, construction, and operation of infrastructure projects and related commodity transactions, particularly in the energy sector. These include handling all aspects of projects related to both conventional and renewable power generation, natural gas, LNG, and carbon-free and renewable fuels, as well as the development and construction of complex infrastructure across multiple industries (chemicals, steel, iron, heavy fuel products). She also has extensive experience in the negotiation and arbitration of energy commodity disputes, particularly in relation to natural gas and LNG price.
