Government Contracts Litigator Joins Crowell & Moring

Washington, D.C. – January 5, 2004: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that David C. Hammond has joined the firm as a partner effective January 1, 2004. Hammond has been a partner at Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy LLP and, earlier in his career, was an associate at Crowell & Moring.
Hammond's practice focuses on counseling and litigating on behalf of government contractors, particularly in the aerospace and health care fields. He deals extensively with a broad range of issues relating to government procurement law, including bid protests, cost or pricing controversies, patent and technical data rights, homeland and industrial security, and internal investigations. He has a broad, defense-based practice for aerospace companies, and in the health care sector, he advises pharmaceutical manufacturers and other providers of health care products and services in connection with federal procurement and regulatory matters, including compliance with federal statutory price limitations for pharmaceuticals, payment of Medicaid rebates, and compliance with the Anti-Kickback Act.

Hammond is a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and earned his BA in Economics and Management in 1981 from Albion College.
