Beth Nolan Joins the Firm's Washington, D.C. Office
Washington, D.C. – June 14, 2002: Crowell & Moring ("C&M) announced today that Beth Nolan, who served as Chief Counsel to President Clinton and General Counsel to the White House office, is joining the firm's Washington, D.C., Office as Senior Counsel.
John Macleod, Chair of C&M's Executive Committee, said, "Beth is down-to-earth and incredibly smart, and she knows how Washington works as well as anyone. BETH NOLAN was a Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard last Fall, after completing her service as Counsel to the President (Clinton) from 1999 to 2001. Previously, Ms. Nolan was Deputy Assistant Attorney General from 1996 to 1999 and Assistant Attorney General-designate from 1997 to 1999 for the Office of Legal Counsel, and was in the White House as Associate Counsel to the President from 1993 to 1995. She was an Associate Professor of Law at GW Law School for most of the period from 1985 to 1997, achieving tenure in 1992. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Scripps College and obtained her law degree magna cum laude from Georgetown in 1980, where she was Editor in Chief of the Law Journal. Ms. Nolan is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
