New York – January 25, 2022: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that Rosa M. Morales, counsel in the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Group, is the inaugural recipient of the Hollis Salzman Leadership Fellowship, established by the Antitrust Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) in memory of Hollis Salzman (1965-2020), a pre-eminent antitrust attorney and the Section’s longtime member and former leader. The Fellowship is designed to support and promote women antitrust lawyers who are in the mid-stage of their careers and seeking to move to the next level.
One Salzman Fellow is selected annually to attend a high-level leadership program aimed at developing and enabling women lawyers to advance to a more senior level of the profession. For 2022, the Antitrust Section has chosen the Harvard Law School’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.
The selection committee noted that Morales was recognized for her “drive and commitment to the development and promotion of women and diverse lawyers,” which is demonstrated by her work at the firm, internal and external mentoring, and other activities, as well as her personal career path.
Morales’s practice focuses on all aspects of antitrust law, including litigation, counseling, mergers and acquisitions, and recovery actions. She has extensive experience representing corporate clients in major antitrust matters and government investigations relating to alleged antitrust violations. In addition, Morales holds several leadership positions in various firm committees, including serving as co-head of the Women’s Leadership Initiative in New York, a cross-office organization dedicated to the recruitment, retention, professional development, and advancement of women lawyers.
Outside of the firm, Morales is a member of NYSBA’s Monopolization & Big Tech Committee, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section. She also serves as mentor through NYSBA’s Antitrust Section mentoring program.
Morales was honored at the NYSBA Antirust Law Section’s Annual Meeting Virtual Reception on January 24, 2022. More information on the Hollis Salzman Women’s Leadership Fellowship can be found here.
