Washington – May 21, 2018: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that Harmon L. (Monty) Cooper, a counsel in the firm’s Mass Tort, Product, and Consumer Litigation and Environment & Natural Resources groups, has been named to the Washington Business Journal’s top “40 Under 40” list. Each honoree featured on the list is a “standout in his or her industry, climbing the ranks at a young age while still finding time to impact the Greater Washington community.”

Cooper’s practice focuses on environmental, product liability, and complex civil litigation. He has experience with multidistrict proceedings and has represented clients in a range of industries, including automotive, petroleum, and heavy machinery. He has over a decade’s worth of experience in all phases of litigation, from discovery to motion practice to trial, including first-chair jury and bench trial experience. Cooper also provides strategic counseling and legal advice on environmental issues for clients regarding environmental remediation and property-transfer laws.

A panel of judges including CFOs, tech CEOs, doctors, and top attorneys, as well as Washington Business Journal staff, evaluated more than 450 nominations. The honorees will be honored on June 26 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C, and a special section of the Washington Business Journal will publish on June 29.
