Washington, D.C. – November 17, 2015: Crowell & Moring LLP is proud to announce that Daniel R. Forman, partner and co-chair of the firm's Government Contracts Group, has been named a "most valuable player" in Government Contracts by Law360. The annual list recognizes attorneys who have had successes in high-stakes litigation, record-breaking deals, and complex global matters over the past year.
Forman, who was named one of five Government Contracts MVPs, was noted for his successful work on challenges to significant government software and medical supply contracts for a variety of clients, including the former Hewlett-Packard Co., AT&T Corp., and Northrop Grumman. In the past year alone, Forman's work has included bid protests, False Claims Act cases, debarment proceedings, and investigations across the country, including his notable lead role to help Northrop Grumman successfully defend a $200 million bid protest over a U.S. Customs and Border Protection software development and maintenance contract.
In addition to his leadership of the Government Contracts Group, Forman was also praised for his "dogged commitment to client service and success using the best means available to achieve the desired outcome, whether in public or with a quiet resolution," according to Law360. These qualities have also helped him both develop younger attorneys within the Group and recruit top talent to the firm.
"One of the things that is really attractive to me about the practice I have and being part of Crowell & Moring is the depth and breadth of matters I get to work on. It's an incredibly exciting area of the law," Forman told Law360.
