Crowell & Moring Partner Van Nguyen Named Among The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s 2016 Best Lawyers Under 40

Irvine, Calif. – October 11, 2016: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that Van-Dzung Vu Nguyen, an Orange County-based partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group, is one of 18 honorees among the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) 2016 Best Lawyers Under 40. The award recognizes talented individuals within the Asian Pacific American (APA) community under the age of 40 who have achieved prominence and distinction in their fields and who have demonstrated a strong commitment to APA civic or community affairs. The award will be presented at the NAPABA’s Annual Meeting on November 3 in San Diego.
“Van is a talented and top-notch litigator who remains dedicated to advancing the legal profession for women and minorities, particularly Asian Americans,” said Angela B. Nguyen is the immediate past president of the Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA), which was recently named as the NAPABA’s 2016 Affiliate of the Year. She has also served as OCAABA’s president-elect, treasurer, and secretary. She was elected and has served on the board of directors of the organization since 2009.
Nguyen’s legal practice focuses on commercial litigation. She has represented clients in matters involving complex business, healthcare, antitrust, insurance coverage, and products liability.. She represents clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts as well as in arbitrations. In 2009, Nguyen represented a client in an antitrust price-fixing case that obtained a multi-million dollar award in an arbitration, which was selected for The Daily Journal's Top Plaintiffs' Verdicts: Top Arbitration Award List.
