Crowell & Moring Partner Amy Laderberg O'Sullivan Named a Law360 Government Contracts "MVP of the Year"

Firm News | 3 min read | 12.19.17

Washington – December 19, 2017: Crowell & Moring LLP is proud to announce that partner Amy Laderberg O’Sullivan has been named a Law360 2017 “MVP of the Year” in the government contracts category. The series profiles 157 lawyers from 78 firms in 32 practice areas who have achieved significant successes over the past year in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters, and record-breaking deals.

Law360 noted O’Sullivan’s busy year handling bid protests, including helping to defend a $17 billion defense health contract award, and securing a major victory for Experian in a high-profile dispute over an IRS identity verification deal. The Experian matter drew unexpected public and congressional attention over the summer after rival Equifax revealed that it had suffered a massive data breach affecting tens of millions of consumers, and the protest was ultimately decided in Experian’s favor in mid-October. Additionally, O’Sullivan serves as lead counsel for TRAX International Corp. in several rounds of ongoing bid protests regarding an Army support services contract and related corrective action.

Outside of the courtroom, O’Sullivan serves on Crowell & Moring’s Government Contracts Group steering committee and as a member and former chair of the firm’s Diversity Council. She told Law360 that she has appreciated the chance to be able to bring female and diverse lawyers to the forefront.

“I’ve been very proud of the fact that in a number of my litigation wins in the past year we’ve had all-female teams,” said O’Sullivan, one of just five government contracts MVPs selected by Law360. “And it’s not meant to be an exclusion to anybody else; it’s just nice to be able to say we are able to do that because of our focus on diversity and having enough very talented people that we can field a well-rounded team from the top all the way to the bottom, with focuses on diversity.”
